October 2010

I haven't updated in a very long time. I really wanted to use this blog as a way for Bella to look back at some of the memories she won't be able to remember. We've had a very busy year. Bella is walking, and chattering like crazy (though not always in English). She has been a joy and a gift to get to know. The older she gets the more I realize how lucky I am to have such a beautiful, and smart little girl. We are excited to see how her second year goes, and see all the wonderful developments in store.

I am in school full time, and working at Aveda with Jenna. I am still working on my paralegal degree and am very excited at the prospect of finishing. It becomes easier every day to see the future I am trying to create for Bella and I. Hope everyone is well.

New Camera

So I got home today to find a new Canon EOS Rebel XSi (digital camera) sitting on the table. I, of course, HAD to try it out. These are the results.

Updates:
Bella recently had her six month check up. She is 20 lbs 10 oz and 28 inches long. High 90 percentile in weight and length. Such a TANK. She is crawling too!! How crazy lol. She's saying Mama and baba and she knows what they mean. Her daycare lady has trouble sometimes because she'll run into something or get bummed out and start crying and screaming Mama. Grandpa has taught her how to wave, which is very surprising. The traditional age for waving is 9 months. She is learning so fast, and growing up even more every minute.

Bella's First Cereal Experience

It was so amazing to spend the holidays with our family these past 2 weeks. It couldn't have been a more amazing first Christmas for Isabella. As most of you know, Bella got to have some rice cereal on Saturday. I am so grateful that we could do it with Kelly there (Not that the rest of the family wasn't FULLY appreciated) She was able to give us some good pointers and really made the experience less worrisome. Isabella did amazing and she ate most of the cereal. She's just a natural.

Christmas

Cute video of Bella smiling!

I feel SO bad because I haven't updated in a while. Christmas didn't quite go as well as I hoped. Of course I still have another family Christmas coming up so hopefully that will go better. Bella has had a HORRIBLE cold. No fever and she's still eating and sleeping fine. The coughing is what has been bothering me. She gets these coughing attacks where she coughs so bad that she can't breath. Sometimes it freaks her out and she starts crying and sometimes she thinks it's funny and giggles. Strange kid. She is starting to get better, thank goodness. I did take her to the doctor and they think she's fine, but they gave her some amoxicillin in case she has an ear infection. Another fun little update is that she is now 16 lbs 3 oz. Crazy! She's a tank lol. Here's a couple updated pics.

Baptism!

She was so excited! Even though it was VERY early in the morning, she was very smiley and totally ready to get going.

Here's me and Isabella's Aunty Jenna, (and now her godmother!)

Isabella and Mommy

The baptism was the same day as our church's christmas play, so they had the manger out. Of course we had to give Bella a shot in it!

It was a very long day. My mom got a great picture of Bella and me after it was all done.
Isabella with her grandparents. You can't get luckier than to have these two as your grandparents.

New Toys and Bathtime

One of the things my grandmother got me for my baby shower was a bouncer. I was looking at Bella the other day and she's been CONSISTENTLY holding her head up lately so I decided to try it out. Bella was definitely a fan. It was so cute.

I figured out that I didn't have any pictures of Bella during bathtime! So I grabbed the CAMERA and these were two of the really cute ones.

Isabella and I were playing peek-a-boo tonight and I just HAD to upload a video. Of course I only got one video before she was more interested in watching Pirates of the Carribean, but that's babies for you.
